A Usual Day

This morning I got a birthday card ready to send to Race. I put it out for the mail man, but he didn't come by 2:30. So we took it to the post office and it was to go out right away. I hope it reaches Kaye and Kyle before they leave for Seattle, so they can give it to Race then. From the P.O. we went to shop for green groceries. Karen called to say she was back from Las Vegas, and so we bought things she wanted, to give to her. I'm glad she's back safely. Brittany and Bianca called, and they are going to Oregon for a month, where they can help out with the golf course Carla and Rex are finishing and opening soon. Tonight we saw a fascinating show on PBS, about American prisoners of the Nazis in World War II, who dug a tunnel and escaped from their prison. But in the end all 75 were caught and killed. Some of the remaining prisoners are with the archaeologists digging and finding remains of the tunnel.
