The nice California day you wish all of them were.

This morning we had business at a bank in Carlsbad, and after that, we went for a walk on the cliff above the beach. It was a really lovely day, the sun shining on the beautiful turquoise water and people on the beach and in surfing and swimming. From there we went to have lunch with Al at his retirement place. He is quieter now that he used to be, and he doesn't talk to a lot of different people anymore. We enjoyed the lunch. We drove to the Kaiser Clinic in San Marcos, where I had my hearing tested. It isn't much worse than it was, but I will have my equilibrium tested when we get back from Oregon. At home again we had dinner, and then I am reading more in "Absolute Power". I must get back to it now. If I don't, I'll lose the continuity of the darn book!
