It has been an iffy day, threatening rain, but it never did materialize. I spent the day doing the washing and mending, a good thing to do on a cloudy day. We talked to all three daughters, and they were our only outside contact, except for the gardener and his crew. And they stayed about 15 minutes; they cut a little on the shrubs, blew the leaves around, and left. Then we talked to Beth and Tom Wieland. They are in their mountain home in Utah. John and his family are in Salt Lake City, but he is often gone, leaving Kathy and her little boy there. Beth and Tom can see them more often than they did for a while. We are going to watch more of the old Star Trek tonight.
