Our trip to see Dr. Donahoe just confirmed what we already thought; the pneumonia is slowly going away, but it will take at least two more weeks to get completely over it. And then Russ will not have all his strength back for more weeks. The next appointment is for Jan. 7. We looked at the ocean for a little while before going home. At home later while Russ rested in the recliner, I wrapped some candy boxes for mailing, and wrote a few more Christmas cards. Karen had made bonbons and filled up the boxes and plates. Two will go to friends in Fallbrook, one to Charles and Mabel, and the other to one to our house cleaner. When I think it's safe to do so, I'll make more caramels, and give little plates to the other neighbors. I just don't want to give anyone the pneumonia germs.
