We have the Christmas tree up in the living room, but we needed an extension cord. We drove to Home Depot and got one. Now the tree is lit, and I spent a good part of the day decorating it. After Christmas we will give away the tree and the ornaments; I have saved for us all the ornaments people have made and given to us, and we can use those on a smaller tree for next Christmas. Karen called, and we arranged to have lunch together at Taco Bell close to our house. The traffic on even the side streets is horrendous even in the daytime. After the lunch we went to the Veterans storehouse and gave away the rest of the books and videos we don't want, plus some Christmas strings of lights we can't use. Maybe someone else can hang them on their house. Tonight we watched an old episode of Sherlock Holmes as we rested and admired our tree.
