Today is almost a repeat of yesterday. But we did drive to the Kaiser pharmacy here, and tried to pick up some prescriptions. But there was a mixup, and we have to go again. I guess our moving has upset their stystem. Anyway, we will go back again later. Wally called to try to get an appointment for me with Dr.Donahoe, but we have to wait until tomorrow at least. I'm still cold all the time, and I need more refills, too.
The food here leaves something to be desired, but maybe that's just me. complaining. When I feel better it may seem better.
I haven't answered all the notes people have sent, but I will try when I feel better. I sleep lots, and that may help get me better. I'll write again tomorrow, I hope with more cheerful news.

We were glad that Kaye and Kyle got home safely. Also, we enjoyed the new pictures Caden. It's so good to see him moving around, and acting like an ordinary one-year-old.
We have had a nice Easter - no egg hunt, but a good church service, and then a nice nap in the apartment. Then we went to Karen's for a nice dinner with them and their neighbors to the east. They are a nice couple from Serbia, we think. They speak good English, considering, and we had met her before at lunch one day. She also sends us spinach and lemons from their garden. Nice people. They sympathize with our moving problems, which are mostly over now. Only the pictures on the walls to bring over.
I still have a cold, and I'm afraid my dear husband is coming down with it. I may go back to the doctor again, to see if it has developed into something else. I'm cold all the time, in spite of all the wool things I'm wearing. But I think my nose is behaving better, perhaps because I am still using the Ayr solution every night. I'll go to bed and turn on the electric blanket, maybe that will help.

That's a very nice picture of Caden that Kaye put on my blog yesterday. I hope it's a nice party for his first Birthday tomorrow. I was glad Kaye and Kyle could drive to Seattle for it. It's a wonder he is alive, and I hope he never rejects the new heart.
This morning Chris went back to the house to meet Roy and finsh putting things in storage. Karen was there, too. And I think they got everything but the pictures put in the shed. Tomorrow I think we can bring the oil paintings over here. The most of the watercolors will go in the shed. We will see.
This afternoon I had my hair done at the same shop. I will not go back again for two weeks. Maybe by next week I can do it myself. I hope so. I am still weak from the move and my cold, but that should be better soon. I know I must exericise more and Carla has told me that. I'll try tomorrow. I
have a lot of mail to catch up on, like change- of- address notes to everbody we know.

Caden Row is One Year Old!
Thursday, April 9, 2009
I was too tired to write last night, but I will try try to make up for it tonght. For some reason this darn cold hangs on and makes me tired most of the time. We go to our three meals a day, and then come back to the apartment. I did wash two batches of clothes this afternoon, and that took my extra energy. For some reason the laundry room is cold, and I should have left there and got a coat at the apartment. But I didn't. I just sat there in the lounge and read magazines while the clothes washed and dried. Fortunately I was the only one wanting to wash in the middle of the afternoon.
Tomorrow morning we will meet Karen at the house and pick up the rest of the things there. The renter wants to move in early, so we might as well get it done now. In the afternoon Roy wants to come over and see our apartment, so we won't stay there long. Later he will clean the house and get it ready for the renters (leasers). We will have to have the carpets cleaned, too.
It's my bedtime, so I'll close now.

I just looked at the movies of Caden, and he is so cute. I just hope he puts on a little weight to go with his activities. I certainly appreciate Kaye sending the movies. Sometime, maybe in a few months we we can fly to Seattle, and see him ourselves.
Today we went to the beach with Karen and had a picnic. Mine was just cheese and crackers, but it stayed down, as did all of my meals today. It was a lovely day, and there were a few surfers we could see. We had to go almost to Canon Rd. to get a parking place where we could see the water and surf. I didn't think there would be so many people on the beach, but I guess it's still Spring Break here.
This afternoon I napped while my husband went to the house to meet the people who will be renting it, beginning in May. We still have to get it cleaned up,but Roy and a carpet cleaner can do a lot for it. We still have pictures on the walls, but we will get them over here to the apartment maybe tomorrow. I hope to be well enough to help with this. My darn cold is still lingering on.

We stayed at the apartment all day, and we watched General Conference on the new computer. That was a new experience. I am sure we will do it again, rather than drive to the Stake Center. I did hear though, that they weren't going to have it there. With my cold still lingering on, I can't really go to church yet. It's about 4 weeks old now.
I try not to get to close to other people when we go to the diningroom for meals. We are getting to know a few people, who invite us to join them. One couple is of Chinese decent, but he is a retired CPA now. One day I just stayed in the apartment and Chris brought me meals. I feel better today, so I have gone to lunch and dinner. They don't serve breakfast on Sundays.
We have talked to all three daughters and seen a movie of Caden, eating ice cream for the first time. He does need the exstra calories to put on more weight, so he can crawl and then walk. I don't have any more news, so I'll close for tonight.

All during the moving and since, I have had a bad cold, and haven't felt good enough to write anything. l am staying in the apartment resting all day, trying to get well enough to get up and do some thing.
Terry came over this morning, and he said Karen and Candace are in S.F. Lynn was sick and couldn't come, and Danya was on a train last night that hit something, and was stopped in the middle of the central valley at 10 p.m. and she didn't know when she would get there. That's a poor beginning for the get-togther they had all planned for this weekend!.
I can't find my computer glasses, so I'll stop here, and write again when there's something to say.
