This morning we went to breakfast as usual, and then we came back to the apartment to read the paper. Then we went to the pool for the exercise class. We were a little late and then left a little early to stay in the 30-minute bounds Dr. Donahoe had set for me. We showered, and then had lunch a little early, so we could be sure to get to my appointment with Dr. Groesback, to prepare for my cataract removal.
By then I was nervous, I guess, because my stomach didn't like what I was doing. I did calm down, when the first thing was an examination just like the others, so there seemed to be nothing to worry about. I was given a three-page list of instructions about not eating after midnight the night before the surgery, and to have only liquids by mouth, and I will be conscious during the prosidure but will have an injection to calm me, and anesthetics in my eye. That sounds better to me.
The other news is that Chris wore his cell phone in the pool, and then later his watch stopped I guess because the battery is dead. But we will manage, since Kaye had already sent new cell phones. earlier, and batteries are readily available for watches.
