Today we went to Sacrament Meeting at the church in Oceanside. The former Bishop (our home teacher) and his wife were the speakers. They were very good, and afterward he asked if he could come visit this afternoon. Of course we said yes. So, He arrived about 3 p.m. when he said he would. He brought Brownies, I didn't ask if he had made them, or if his wife had. I just accepted them and said thank you very much. We will have them for our dessert after dinner tonight. Anyway, we had a good visit of almost an hour. We shared stories about our families and talked about accepting the gospel, he told us about his family, which aren't members, and we shared our stories about our families. After he left we looked at the newspaper and I read the ads to see if there was anything we would want to buy people for Christmas. There wasn't anything. I wanted Florsheim shoes for my husband, but the ad isn't in the Sunday paper, and I have gotten rid of the paper the ad was in. We went to dinner and sat with some interesting people. One of them was a woman who had told us her life story once before, but this time it was a little more flowery. She didn't remember telling us about it before. Karen called, to tell us they will be coming home tomorrow; we had thought it was today and were beginning to worry. Her call was very welcome.
