This morning we had our breakfast, and then instead of going to the Gentle Exercise, we drove to the Carlsbad Kaiser pharmacy to pick up a medication. On the way back we stopped at Tamarack Beach and went for a walk along the lower ocean-side walkway. It was another beautiful day, and we enjoyed it. From there we went to the Walmart near the Plaza El Camino, and bought a few odds and ends, and then had lunch at Burger King. From there we went over to the Plaza and to the Radio Shack store there. We bought a small radio to take to Verla Reece, the friend of Loraine Pepper, and now our friend, too, who is in the care center at Las Villas de Carlsbad, where we live. We didn't have time to take it to her today, because we were late getting home, and figured she would be having her dinner. We'll go tomorrow. Tonight I went with Karen to the Relief Society Christmas party at the church. It was a good dinner and a great program; I just wish someone had made a movie of the whole program, it was so well prepared and presented. When we got back here, Karen gave us a pretty poinsettia plant in bloom, and we have it on our dining table along with the Christmas tree and the Creche, and a fruitcake Carla had sent to us from the Collin Street Bakery in Corsicana, Texas. This cake is my favorite Christmas- time dessert. Karen gave us our first one years ago, and we have had several since then..
