We didn't go to breakfast this morning, because it's a fast day. We went to Church and sat with Karen, during the bearing of testimonies. I forgot to take my hearing aid, so I missed most of them. But there was one man who talked loud enough for me to hear, and he had a fine testimony of our religion. I was glad to hear him. We left after this meeting because Chris had problems breathing and didn't have any inhalers with him. He felt better when we got back to the apartment and he could use his inhalers.
Later we went to the dining room for dinner, and afterward each of us had a banana split. They only serve them here on the first Sunday of each month.
It was cool today, with a cooler wind, so we didn't go outside for our walk. Instead we just walked all of the corridors in this building. We kept running into a woman who was doing the same thing, and that made it more interesting. Also, there were a lot of Christmas decorations on doors to the apartments and in the dining room, and the lobby on the first floor. Our wreath was as good as any other. Jean, Nancy Barnhart's daughter, made it and gave it to us. Nancy is a couple of years older than I am, and Jean's husband passed away, so she is staying with her mother and taking care of her. Karen and I have been their visiting teachers for several years, at least until we moved here. I miss seeing the women we used to visit, but maybe when I get all well, I can go with Karen again.
