Chris is doing better today. His nose is just barely dripping, and a small piece of gauze has kept it under control all day. We went to breakfast as usual, and then we came back here. Carla and Rex soon came over. However, they didn't stay long. They want to visit their daughters in the L.A. area today, and then they will leave just before daylight the next morning to start the drive back to Eugene, Ore. We have enjoyed their visit here. I hope that sometime this summer or fall we can fly up there to visit them.
After they left here, we drove down to the beach and went for a walk. It was quite warm, and there were a lot of people there, and even some swimming or surfing in the water. I was walking with the walker, and we went quite a way, but a block less than all the way along the path bordered by grass. It was pleasant, and I had to take off the heavy leather coat I had been wearing.
When we got back here, we went to lunch, and then I sat down in my chair in the sunshine and went to sleep. Chris didn't do that, he went into the other room and worked at the computer. Later we went to dinner, and I didn't care much for the food, so we came back here and we each had a piece of the great fruitcake Carla had sent to us, as part of the Christmas gifts she brought, which were note papers with pictures of all the holes on their golf course they have built in Bandon, Ore. and a calendar with more pictures, mostly of their family. Very nice.
