I just talked to Kaye, and I reviewed our day. So, I should be able to put it down here. After breakfast I took our white batch of clothes down to the second floor laundry and put them in to wash. I read in one of Patricia Briggs' French books, and I got a little way along. It has been may years since I studied French, so I have to look up words now and then. And of course I have the English version I can compare if necessary. But I didn't take it with me today- just a small dictionary. And this small one didn't have some of the words I looked up. After putting the clothes in the dryer, I went to the elevator to go back up to our apartment, but it wasn't working! But there was one of the workman right there, and he offered to help me climb the stairs, and we made it up. I went to the apartment, and Chris came with me to the dining room for lunch. After that I found the elevator was working again, and went down and got the laundry and brought it back with me. I was tired, so I didn't put it away, but instead I sat in the recliner and went to sleep, until it was time to get my hair done. I was about 15 minutes late, so the one operator had started on someone else, and I had to wait a while. but that was OK. I rested again while I waited. When the hair was done I went back to the apartment and found I had missed the birthday party for the oldest resident-- a lady who turned 101 today! Anyway, we went to dinner and then came back to our apartment. We had phone calls from Brittany an Bianca both! It was so nice to talk to them. They both seem to be doing well with their schoolwork. Bianca had just assisted in the C-section of a new mother, and took care of the baby afterward. And Brittany is working at Disneyland, as well as going to college. Later we talked to Kaye. She said the electric lights were installed in their new house today, and that she had them in the old house, and took them over to the new house in two loads. And the first load was already installed by the time she got back to the new house with the rest of them. I''m so glad the new house is progressing so well.
