Today I had one thing I was determined to do, the washing. After breakfast I hurried to gather up all the clothes and take them to the laundry room on the second floor of our building here at Las Villas de Carlsbad. I found two washers not in use, and Chris (Who had come with me) and I filled them and put in the soap and spotted clothes. While they washed, we went to the Gentle Yoga exercise class. When that was over, Chris went back upstairs, and I put the clothes in dryers, and I read the newspaper while they dried. Chris came back, carrying hangers for the dry things. but they weren't dry, so there was another wait while they dried again, in the slow dryers. Finally it was lunch time, and so we took all the clothes, dry or not, back to the apartment, and we put them out around the rooms to finish drying, while we had lunch. Then we came back to segregate the clothes and put them away. That was all except the socks, that still were a little damp. I talked to Kaye later, and she suggested I take the clothes to Karen's house, and play with the kitty while the clothes dried. I demurred, and then she suggested I mention the slow dryers to the staff here, and they would replace them. That's a good idea. After dinner we watched a couple of TV shows, and now we will watch a movie, and that will be our day.
