We went to breakfast as usual, and then we came back to the apartment and read the morning paper, that one of the staff graciously put under our door. Then we went downstairs and left the paper at the front desk and then we went for a walk. It wasn't a long walk, because it was cold and cloudy and looked as though it might rain any time. We came back in for lunch, and then while we were just finishing that, one of the staff came into the dining room and told us we had a visitor, Mr. Oddou. Gary Oddou is a friend from Church, and he had been in Carlsbad to look at a surf board to buy. He is an avid surfer. He said he had been over here a couple of times, but he didn't know exactly where we lived. But I guess he found our from Karen and Terry, he is their home teacher. Anyway, we brought him up to the apartment, and we had a nice visit. He has family in F rance, and he talks to me at church sometimes in French, and I've forgotten so much I sometimes miss it. So now I am reading one of Pattie Briggs' books in French to brush up on the language. We evidently missed a call about Caden, so I'll close here and see if we can connect there.
