This morning I went to breakfast and ordered half a cheese omelet, and also ordered one to take back to Chris. But he came to the dining room before I had finished my breakfast, so we ate there together. That was nicer than going back to the apartment , with his having to wait for his breakfast. After that, we went down to the lobby and read the newspaper before coming back upstairs. Later we were having lunch in the apartment, and Karen came over, and brought some supplies that we needed. She told us about having lunch with her real estate agent, about selling their house here. She thinks she and Terry can get back all the money they have put in the house. I hope she is right. Real estate is so low right now, I don't see how they can do that. But good luck to them! This afternoon I took the laundry down to the laundry machines and dryers on the second floor, and I got them all washed and dried, but it took all of the afternoon. While they washed and dried I read the DMV manual, so I will be ready to take my driving test on Wednesday. I do hope I pass. Chris said if I didn't, he didn't think we should keep our car. But I can take the test three times, and I should pass it at least once! His vision isn't good, so I don't think he will pass the eye test when he goes for his test before his next birthday, Nov. 1.
