Since this is Sunday we got ready for Church. Chris drove us, and we got there just as the Bishop was making the opening announcements. We sat on the back row, and we didn't hear much of what was going on. It was a Fast and Testimony meeting, so we missed the quiet-speaking people who gave testimonies. After the meeting I stopped to talk to Darlene Keller. She was stretched out on chairs, and her feet on a cushion on another chair. She didn't sit up, and when she saw me she thought I someone else. Then when I told her who I was, she said I looked like this other woman, who plays the piano in Relief Society meeting. She is quite out of it, and looks like she won't be around much longer. That's sad. She was always so positive and in control all the time. Another old friend has passed away, Jack Jones. He went to Utah State when we did, and we met him down here when we moved to Fallbrook. He has held many positions in the wards and stakes around here, and I think he was was the one who married Brittany and her husband in the San Diego Temple. I remember going up the elevator with him that day in the temple, and he gave me a big hug. Then there was some comment on Smith and Jones, after the ceremony. It was a shot day for Kaye, so we didn't talk very long to her. We will call early tomorrow. Carla called, to tell us she and Rex were home, after going to Logan and Meret's graduations.
