Mostly Church.

We went to church this morning, and it was a farewell appearance of the Alexander family. The 1st meeting speakers were all of their family. The mother and Dr. dad are leaving for a mission to the Philippines, where he will be in charge of the health of 1100 missionaries. Karen didn't get there until the last meeting; Trevor Foster, her step grandson and a friend were visiting and didn't leave until almost 11 a.m. (Karen had let them drive her Jaguar to a fashionable wedding the night before.) We went to Karen's for dinner later. Karen, Russ, and I all got our new recommends, so we can go to the stake temple week, beginning Sept. 3. We will probably go to only one or two sessions at the most.
